Artist's Comments

Yeah, yeah, I know. It's rushed and stuff. But I did it anyway.

That door was HELL. There's only like two reference pics of it on the entire interwebs. It was very hard to color.

Also, drawing someone kneeling from behind is friggin HARD.

Things I like: How Utena looks.
Her hands.
Her kinda sunwashed colors.

Things I hate: THAT DOOR. If ANYONE gives me **** about that door, I will probably freak out. I know it sucks.

I will probably see is is interested in coloring this.

I agree with you-Utena looks wonderful here. I love the pose that you drew her in! ^^ I honestly don't think the door came out that badly, though.

i think this looks great! i've got a question - how do your drawings where you keep all the sketchiness of the original pencil and still color it? do you sketch over the original in pen, but keep it sketchy?

cause whenever i try to do that, theres a TON of crap i have to erase both on paper and on the computer - so I was curious if you had a good way of doing it, since yours always looks so good :3

OMG the Utena finale left me in shock for three days...poor Utena-sama... o.o Anyways, don't be so hard on yourself! This is a fantastic pic and it brings back memories of me and my friend staring at the screen with slack jaws and tears as Utena pried open the door with her bloodied fingers... :(

Mucho love! *Favs*

I usually take my sketch in photoshop and copy it into a mask. That way, I only have the lines and I can color underneath it. taught me how to do that. :) It saves a lot of time. Then I simply clean up any REALLY stray lines. And then I color underneath!
